Recently, NTSC Board Member and US Bank CISO Jason Witty was featured in an American Banker article titled “The secret to reeling in cybersecurity talent at three big banks.” The article addresses the cybersecurity talent shortage, how it’s impacting banks, and how CISOs are attempting to solve the problem. Ideas in the article include tapping veterans and partnering with educational institutions—and Witty talks about some innovative ways that he’s recruiting talent through a cyber fusion center in Cincinnati, a scholarship program with Northern Kentucky University, and partnering with “Navigo, a Cincinnati not-for-profit that helps high school students who cannot afford higher education to obtain jobs that enable them to save enough to eventually go to college.”
