Helen Patton Asks, “What Do CISOs Want, Anyway?”
For security to work, IT operations need to be solid. CISOs need to step forth as leaders, not supporters or trailers. Everyone needs education about security just like reading, writing, and math. These are just a few topics of concern for CISOs that Helen Patton, CISO of Ohio State University, addresses in her latest Medium post (What Do CISOs Want, Anyway?). Concerning policy, Patton says, “In the same way governments provide for shared services, protect against air/water pollution, ensure investments in things necessary to society but not necessarily profitable for private industry, they must also create meaningful Security legislation.”
