Zero Trust - A Fireside Chat

2020 has been an unpredictable year for a surprising variety of reasons, and virtually no person, organization, or government in the world has been unaffected. The technology world has been front and center in addressing many crucial issues whether it be coronavirus research, remote work, protection of election integrity, searching for truth in the social media storm, or pandemic-themed attacks on people, research, and health institutions. What's common across all of these is the need to secure a wide variety of legacy and modern IT applications, services, and infrastructures with flexibility and speed.

Forrester first coined the term "zero trust" back in 2010. They were one of the first to spot and explain that the effectiveness of the network perimeter was being diminished as an increasing number of cloud-based services were being adopted by organizations around the world, rendering the network perimeter a fence of Swiss cheese. Since then, the hype curve around Zero Trust has grown to a fevered pitch.

The National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC) is pleased to host an executive-focused fireside chat between Jason Witty, Managing Director and Global Chief Information Security Officer at JPMorgan Chase and Microsoft Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer Bret Arsenault. Microsoft has surveyed over 500 organizations and found that 94% of those organizations have now started to pursue a zero trust architecture and 55% of those same organizations have been asked to accelerate their digital transformations. Brett and Jason will discuss many related topics such as:

  • What do I do about my perimeter-based protections?
  • How do I make the transition?
  • What are the compelling benefits of zero trust?

They will also be eager to answer your questions about zero trust and its role in supporting broader digital transformation.

We hope you will join us for this informative event intended to help and arm executive decision makers with the latest thinking on technology trends.
