Republic National Distribution Company VP & CISO John Dickson Joins NTSC Board of Directors

ATLANTA (July 26, 2021) – John Dickson, Vice President Infrastructure and Cybersecurity (CISO) at Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), has been appointed to serve on the National Technology Security Coalition’s (NTSC) Board of Directors. RNDC is an industry leader and one of the nation’s largest wine and spirits distributor. Dickson will help influence the strategic direction of the NTSC and join CISOs who represent a broad cross-section of enterprise companies. These CISOs have a vested interest in protecting the security of their customers and employees through policies that improve national cybersecurity standards and awareness.

Dickson said, “The NTSC’s policy priorities, ranging from strengthening the public-private partnership to improving workforce development, are all important to the CISO community. I look forward to working with my peers across the nation to discuss these issues of highest importance and help enact positive change in Washington, D.C.”

At RNDC, Dickson leads a comprehensive IT team covering information Security & Governance, Enterprise Communications, Data Center and Cloud Services, Warehouse Automation and Technology Support Operations. His background includes 20+ years of broad cybersecurity and enterprise risk management experience, including deep specialization in corporate technology infrastructure, identifying threats, and pinpointing vulnerabilities.

An industry thought leader, Dickson serves as the Atlanta Chair of the Gartner CISO Coalition. Other organizations that he supports includes the LUNGevity Foundation, the Cystic Fibrosis foundation and is a Make-a-Wish Participant. Additionally, he is a Private Enterprise Representative to the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange and an IT Advisory Board Member to the Chattahoochee Nature Center.

Prior to RNDC, John managed Information Technology services and systems integration for Public Utilities and Intelligent Transportation Systems including: the Boston Central Artery Tunnel, the George Washington Bridge, the New York Department of Environmental Protection, and numerous water treatment facilities around the world.
