ATLANTA, GA (January 16, 2019) – The National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC) welcomes Palo Alto Networks, the global leader in cybersecurity, as a National Underwriter in 2019. By supporting the efforts of CISOs to influence policies that improve national cybersecurity standards and awareness, Palo Alto Networks will participate in NTSC conferences, events, and meetings with CISOs and other cybersecurity policy stakeholders in 2019.

“Our mission is to protect our way of life in the digital age by preventing successful cyberattacks, and we acknowledge that in order to do so, we must prioritize cybersecurity from a national level,” said Rick Howard, chief security officer at Palo Alto Networks. “The NTSC’s board of Fortune 1000 CISOs has policy priorities that are critically needed in today’s cybersecurity industry, and we look forward to supporting this effort in 2019.”

“Beginning with innovative firewalls in the 2000s, Palo Alto Networks has grown into an important industry thought leader, source of research, and impactful member of the cybersecurity community over the past 13 years,” said Patrick Gaul, Executive Director of the NTSC. “The company also serves over 85 of the Fortune 100 and more than 63 percent of the Global 2000, and so they are very familiar and trusted to the CISOs on our Board of Directors. Both Palo Alto Networks and the NTSC want to improve national cybersecurity policy for the good of business, consumers, and national security—and we look forward to our partnership in 2019 helping impact legislation, regulations, and policy in Washington D.C.”

NTSC National Underwriters work with a prestigious board of CISOs representing leading companies including Aaron’s, Aflac, AIG, AutoNation, Baxter, Citi, Discover Financial Services, Dollar Tree, Ellie Mae, Globe Life, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services, Huntington Bank, Johnson & Johnson, MassMutual, Mastercard, McKesson, Motorola Mobility, NCR, Oceaneering, Ohio State University, Synovus, TaxSlayer, Technology Association of Georgia, TransUnion, Turner, Unisys, United Airlines, US Bank, Voya Financial, Western Digital, and Zocdoc.
