National Technology Security Coalition Welcomes Microsoft as a National Underwriter in 2020

Monday, January 27, 2020

ATLANTA, GA (January 27, 2020) – The National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC) welcomes Microsoft as a National Underwriter in 2020. By supporting the efforts of CISOs to influence policies that improve national cybersecurity standards and awareness, Microsoft will participate in NTSC conferences, events, and meetings with CISOs and other cybersecurity policy stakeholders in 2020.

“Microsoft sees cybersecurity as an essential component of technology services and solutions underpinning the operations of public and private sector organizations that drive our economy and keep our nation secure,” said Ben Hendrick, Global Chief Architect at Microsoft. “Because the priorities of the National Technology Security Coalition support a national cybersecurity policy that ultimately helps keep our businesses and critical infrastructure secure while strengthening the public-private partnership, Microsoft is excited to become a national underwriter and support this important organization in 2020.

"Led by a board of mostly Fortune 1000 CISOs, the NTSC represents a sorely needed voice in Washington D.C. that can help the public and private sectors collaborate to address important policy problems that will help everyone strengthen cybersecurity and better protect our nation from dangerous threats.”

“As a company that permeates our technology solutions at a granular level through its operating systems, productivity software, cloud computing services, and other products and services, Microsoft also serves as a national leader in helping the federal government understand our biggest cybersecurity risks,” said Patrick Gaul, Executive Director of the NTSC. “Most of our CISOs on the NTSC Board of Directors have a relationship with Microsoft, and many of our policy priorities are aligned with Microsoft when we talk to lawmakers in Washington, D.C.

“As a result, it makes sense to have Microsoft as a partner and national underwriter for the NTSC in 2020. We look forward to working with Microsoft this year—a year during which national cybersecurity policy will become more important than ever before.”

NTSC National Underwriters work with a prestigious board of CISOs representing leading companies including Aaron’s, Aflac, Carrier, DocuSign, Dollar Tree, Ellie Mae, Freddie Mac, Globe Life, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services, Huntington Bank, Johnson & Johnson, JPMorgan Chase, loanDepot, Mastercard, McKesson, Motorola Mobility, NCR, Oceaneering, Ohio State University, Sage Group, Synovus, TaxSlayer, Technology Association of Georgia, TransUnion, Unisys, US Bank, VF Corporation, Voya Financial, WarnerMedia, and Western Digital.
