National Technology Security Coalition Appoints Executive Director

ATLANTA, GA– August 30, 2016 — The National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC) announced Patrick Gaul has been appointed to the position of Executive Director.

The National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that will drive the national dialogue on technology security in the United States. The mission of NTSC is to effectively forge a coalition of information security stakeholders to help reverse the accelerating pace of disruption to our nation’s information systems.
NTSC’s primary initiative will be advocating on regulatory and legislative policies that impact the technology security industry. Also, NTSC will drive the national dialogue by conducting educational thought-exchange forums, and delivering professional development programs to equip members with innovative cybersecurity solutions.
“Patrick Gaul has a diverse background, having worked across the globe and multiple industries during his career. As a member of the TAG Board of Directors he was heavily involved in various committees and chaired the Georgia Technology Summit of two occasions. It was during this period that I got to know Patrick, and made me believe he would be a strong candidate for the position when we began our search, said Tino Mantella, the President of the NTSC. We wanted an Executive Director who has extensive experience working with “C” level executives and who would bring cross-industry experience to the role.”
Patrick Gaul has had a distinguished career with an exceptional record of management performance and achievements in building corporate value. Patrick has extensive international experience and has developed strong multicultural abilities through working, living and traveling around the globe – including the Middle East, the Far East, Western and Eastern Europe and North America. He is an industry leader and subject matter expert in technology products and services, proficient in all aspects of the Internet.
Patrick began his career in the technology industry in 1976 after nine years in the United States Marine Corps where he was awarded a number of commendations including National Defense Service Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon and a Purple Heart for his service in the Republic of South Vietnam. Mr. Gaul spent nearly twenty-six years with AT&T and Infonet Services Corporation across the globe including assignments in Japan, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Belgium before returning to the USA in late 2003 to head up an Atlanta-based web-hosting and interactive marketing firm.
For the past decade Mr. Gaul has served as a private consultant working with start-ups and smaller companies across a number of industries including Market Research, Customer Intelligence, Software Quality Assurance and Cybersecurity, with an emphasis on secure collaboration. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions in sales and marketing and channel management.
Mr. Gaul attended the Executive MBA Program at the Edinburg Graduate School of Business. He served on the Board on the Board of Directors of the Technology Association of Georgia for 9 years, was the Chair in 2014 and the Vice Chair in 2013. He is married to Kathryn Gaul, who he met during his time in the UK. Kathryn is a Principal at the Atlanta Ballet. They have three children and two grandchildren and live in Atlanta.

The mission of the NTSC is to ensure the voice of the CISO is heard in Washington and across the nation, and that we remain focused on policies and issue that serve to protect and advance the national interests.”
Patrick’s mission is to continue to recruit and build out the Board, ensuring representation across industries and the nation; and to work to achieve the advocacy initiatives of the NTSC Board of Directors, which includes the CISOs from leading companies and government authorities such as Aflac, Ellie Mae, AutoNation, Home Depot Supply, Signet Jewelers, Synovus, Turner Broadcasting, InterActive Corporation, Epsilon, Motorola Mobility, TaxSlayer and the State of Georgia.
