MoneyGram International CISO Betty Elliott Joins NTSC Board of Directors
ATLANTA, GA - (July 24, 2017) - Betty Elliott, CISO for MoneyGram International, has been appointed to serve on the National Technology Security Coalition’s (NTSC) Board of Directors. Representing the financial services industry, Elliott will help influence the strategic direction of the NTSC and join CISOs who represent a broad cross-section of enterprise companies. These CISOs have a vested interest in protecting the security of their customers and employees through policies that improve national cybersecurity standards and awareness.
“After serving as a CISO in a variety of industries and leading security teams at Fortune 500 companies, I’ve seen the effects that national cybersecurity legislation and policies can have on business,” said Elliott. “As a member of the NTSC board, I look forward to working with CISOs from a variety of backgrounds to offer my insights and engage in dialogue with policymakers on Capitol Hill.”
Elliott joined MoneyGram in April 2015 as its VP, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). She leads the MoneyGram Information Security team whose responsibilities include managing security risk, security governance, forensics, security awareness, identity and access management, vulnerability management, security operations, security engineering, security architecture, internal fraud, and agent victim fraud. Previously, Elliott came from Convergys and Stream as their CISO and CSO respectively and has led security teams at Fortune 500 companies including Ameriprise Financial, Allianz Life, and Best Buy.

The NTSC provides a platform for CISOs to advocate for beneficial legislative and regulatory policies. We encourage dialogue about cybersecurity issues, laws, and regulations through advocacy engagement with congressional members, regional CISO policy roundtables, our annual DC Fly-In, and our National CISO Policy conference.
Elliott joins a prestigious board of CISOs from leading companies including Aaron's, Aetna, Aflac, AutoNation, Cox Automotive, Discover Financial Services, Ellie Mae, Epsilon, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services, IAC/InterActive Corp., Johnson & Johnson, Motorola Mobility, NCR, SunTrust, Synovus, TaxSlayer, Torchmark, Turner, US Bank, Worldpay, and Yum! Brands. The NTSC’s next board of directors meeting will be held in October at the time of our inaugural NTSC CISO Policy Conference in Atlanta.
