ST. LOUIS, MO. (January 11, 2024) – World Wide Technology (WWT), a global technology solutions provider with $17 billion in annual revenue, is pleased to announce its commitment to another year as a national underwriter for the National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC). The $100,000 commitment places WWT in the platinum tier of the NTSC’s underwriters, the highest and most influential level for the non-profit, non-partisan organization.
As a national underwriter, WWT will work with the NTSC to advocate legislation that benefits cybersecurity leaders across the nation. In addition, WWT will serve as a prominent voice for the policies, regulation and support CISOs need to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving technology landscape.
“The NTSC is the preeminent voice on Capitol Hill for CISOs and all cybersecurity stakeholders. With the cybersecurity industry facing the constant risk of data breaches and dealing with continually evolving technologies like AI, cybersecurity leaders need the reassurance that the issues they care about are being addressed and considered,” said Mario Balakgie, Field CISO at WWT and board member of the NTSC. “Since WWT began its work with the NTSC, we’ve received incredible feedback from CISOs across the country that have relayed their support for the NTSC, but also their desire to further connect with WWT due to our advocacy. Those conversations have been the driving force for WWT’s decision to renew our underwriting role in 2024.”
In addition to underwriting, WWT will also be hosting the NTSC’s Midwest Regional Roundtable on January 24, 2024. The regional meeting will bring together esteemed senior technology security executives to delve into conversations regarding the latest trends in national cybersecurity policy. Speakers will include WWT’s Mario Balakgie alongside Katherine Kuehn, former Chief Trust Officer at AON; Beth-Anne Bygum, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Q2, Inc; and Mark Strosahl, Chief Information Officer at Penn Mutual.
