Aaron's VP Almir Hadzialjevic Joins NTSC Board of Directors

ATLANTA, GA (November 20,2017) – Almir Hadzialjevic, Vice President, Enterprise Risk & Security for Aaron’s, Inc., (NYSE: AAN), a leading omnichannel provider of lease-purchase solutions, has been appointed to serve on the National Technology Security Coalition’s (NTSC) Board of Directors. Representing the retail industry, Hadzialjevic will provide guidance as to the strategic direction of the NTSC and joins information security executives who represent a broad cross-section of enterprise companies and have a vested interest in protecting the security of their customers and employees through policies that improve national cybersecurity standards and awareness.

“Throughout my career, I’ve seen the impact of cybersecurity legislation—both good and bad—on businesses and how it affects the way we approach information security, privacy, compliance, and risk management,” said Hadzialjevic. “Through the NTSC, I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned from my experiences to help us articulate more business-friendly cybersecurity legislation that also protects consumers.”

As Vice President of Enterprise Risk & Security at Aaron’s, Hadzialjevic provides strategic direction, governance, and oversight over the company’s information security program. “In addition to Almir’s top-notch information security skillsets, he’s also an expert in cybersecurity auditing, compliance, and risk management—having spearheaded this function for a large public company and advised Fortune 500 clients at a Big Four consulting firm,” said Patrick Gaul, Executive Director of the NTSC. “Having someone on the NTSC Board with this level of expertise about the ins and outs of compliance enriches our dialogue, discussions, and policy positions around cybersecurity legislation.”
